ELEVATED KIDS' ROOM DECORATING IDEAS

1. In the Bucket List family's Hawaii home the children's bedroom has a Kenya theme complete with custom built-in bunk beds set off with an orange and white striped rug and a blue dresser.
2. The style of the children’s bedroom in this restored rectory complements the overall design, but it leaves room for a little playfulness. The trundle beds come from Tasha Beds; the bed cushions, from Neptune. Beside the beds, the dome wall lights are from Original BTC, and overhead, the star-printed lampshade is from Jim Lawrence. A Balineum laundry basket serves as a catch-all space for storage and dirty laundry.

11. Designer Jonathan Adler combined vivid colors and graphic patterns to create a playful yet tailored look in a child's room in a Manhattan apartment; the gingham bed curtains and yellow highboy are vintage, the wallpaper is by Cary Leibowitz and the rug is by Adler.
